POSITION SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for the management of KPI’s and Service provided by the Intermodal Terminals for the KCSR and KCSM

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

College degree is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

2 years railroad management experience.

SKILLS:

-Strong verbal and written skills.

-Ability to present service review documentation to both internal and external associates.

-Ability to utilize mathematical formulas to create appropriate documents for reviews.

-Ability to gather appropriate documentation that allows the appropriate party to focus on the key issues and to develop appropriate action plans to improve and / or reduce service levels and / or operating cost.

-Proficiency in MCS and LMS systems preferred

JOB DUTIES:

-Guide procedures and practices to ensure reliable, consistent service in accordance with TSP.

-Create rail car utilization guidelines by terminals for the intermodal network and insure compliance.

-Monitor terminal audit requirements, report results and develop action plans for improvements

-Create and maintain rail car manifest program with all interchanges to offline railroads

-Monitor terminal KPIs and provide detailed information to terminal managers. Create action plan for improvement

-Closely coordinate with the Dispatch center and equipment groups for resource allocation.

-Assist in ensuring special resources are allocated during critically sensitive operations.

-Represent the KCS with the UIIA.

-Manage terminal capacity information for each terminal.

-Maintain ramp contact information sheets and terminal profiles.

-Manage and report all intermodal lift counts and automotive vehicle load counts to the Administration Coordinator for monthly budget accruals.

-Maintain terminal information on the KCSR \ KCSM website.
